Sleeping Beauty
May. 29th, 2024 12:00 amModern Sleeping Beauty
I haven't yet made a post about my recently discovered Sleeping Beauty fictotype, so I felt like writing this.
I identify as multiple iterations of Sleeping Beauty. Aurora from Maleficent, Briar Rose from Sleeping Beauty, some of the older versions before Disney, and I identify as a modern Sleeping Beauty in this life.
I see my life as a modern sleeping beauty story, but instead of a sleeping curse, I have chronic fatigue syndrome. I guess saying that sounds ridiculous, but romanticizing my life like this, is part of my imagination and it helps me to keep going. Sleep and dreams are a very important part of my life, one that connects me to this identity.
I am still newly awakened as Sleeping Beauty and am getting to know myself and my stories. I have some noemata, but it isn't much yet. I don't know if this identity will broaden and deepen or if it will remain mostly the same. It is my first serious fictionkin identity and I am still learning about what it means to me.
