nimdreamsIt's been a year since I learned that a spirit that has been coming to me since I was a child, is a being from another universe in which we were together. He has been my companion for as long as I can remember, but recently he has been showing me more and more from the life I used to live as a spirit.
He has always told me I am a spirit and I identified as a fox spirit, which was fine, but when I started to question elf or fae he made it clear I could identify as anything I want in this life, but it wasn't my true self. I then decided I wanted to learn about my true self and opened up to discovering.
I will be writing a couple of posts on different things I have discovered. Some of my old posts aren't correct anymore, but there are some main threads in my identity that remain true.
In this post I wanted to share why I am changing my name from Nim to Alessandra. Once I realized I had a life as a spirit before incarnating into this one, I came to the conclusion Nim wasn't the name I went by as a spirit. It is a name I picked for myself in this life. To find the name I used to have, I contacted my sister stars with a pendulum reading. This is where they shared with me my name is Alessandra. I expected that when I found my old name, it would immediately click but it didn't. I am still getting used to this familiar sound, that I just don't fully connect to myself yet.
I have a great interest in meaning behind names so I looked up Alessandra and it means "defender of mankind/men" or "defender or protector". I got curious as to why I was given this name, and I learned it is because I was a guardian of people in the Dream. This is not a role I assumed the moment I was created, but one I took up later when I was ready.
I'll be trying to go by Alessandra instead of Nim from now on in the community, but I don't mind being called Nim as it is still a name I love and have grown attached to.
