My Anteatype

nimdreamsMy anteatype is a foxelf. I started to identify as an elf when I was around 9 years old and specifically a foxelf around a year later. I awakened through the Wolfriders, an elven tribe from the comic series Elfquest. I knew I was similar to them, but not wolfblood, a different animal. I had this identity throughout my teenage years and started suppressing being nonhuman in my early 20s. I never sought community. Didn't even think of it as an option. I kept my identity secret and people just thought I liked Lord of the Rings a lot when I got my elvish tattoos.
Needless to say, this identity still means a lot to me. I am that foxelf still in many ways. It formed who I am today. Now I identify as an eidolon, as a shapeshifter. Part of my anteatype I still carry around, because I believe elf used to be one of my main chosen forms in the past and fox is still my main form.
