Eidolon

I feel like I want to mention my other 'type now. Beside being a dog therian, I have been questioning this for some time and have tried different labels to find what fits best. Guardian spirit, eidolon, divine, celestial, all labels that point to the same experiences, shifts and identity. After othercon I have looked into possibly being a summoner archetrope and learned more about summoners outside of Final Fantasy IX. I thought of having an eidolon thoughtform the way dæmons work, but trying to figure out what I would be like as a summoner with an eidolon only led me to feel more certain about being the eidolon myself instead.

There is a lot of overlap between being a dog therian and eidolonkin for me. As a dog I imagine an owner and my bond with them and as an eidolon I can imagine a summoner and being bound to them. Being divine, powerful, magical, and yet be subservient to a summoner who I have a special connection to. Being bound is a very strong bond with another being. It is deep and all encompassing.

Eidolon come in different forms and shapes. They can be humanoid or mystical creatures, shapeshifters or consist of more than one being. I have questioned being a kitsune-like eidolon before, but after looking deeper and learning more about komainu, I believe that is my true form. I feel like I also have a humanoid, probably elven, form, but this is something I am still figuring out. I identified as an elf for a decade when I was younger, so there is still something there. I think as a komainu I look very lion-like with golden tiger stripes. My colors are gold, yellow and orange, but I haven't figured out the details yet.

I haven't seen other eidolonkin or komainukin around, so I wish to write about what it is like as an eidolon in case someone relates.
